PLEASE TRY NOT TO BE LATE. IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO GIVE YOUR SPOT AWAY TO ANOTHER STUDENT ON THE WAIT LIST. IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE, YOU MUST BRING CHOCOLATE OR OTHER DELICIOUSNESS TO CLASS NEXT TIME YOU COME!

You should be dressed and ready to start your session at the scheduled time. This is a safety issue and we ask that you respect both your instructors and other students by showing up on time. We are very strict about this rule, so don’t say you didn’t know about this…it is in all your emails and on this website.

At The Pole Room, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy. As long as you cancel at least 24-hours before your scheduled class or wait list, you will not lose that class or be charged. The class will go back into your account and you will be able to use it for another day, time, or class.

If you late cancel, you will lose the class from your package.

PRIVATE CLASSES: We ask that you let us know at least 24 hours ahead of time if you need to cancel a private class, otherwise you will lose your payment.

There are no refunds on late cancellations.

If the instructor cancels, an additional week will be added to your package length to allow you time to attend your class.

**This cancellation policy does not apply to Private Parties. This is for regularly scheduled classes only. For private parties please visit the PARTY page.

We are very strict about this rule, so don’t say we didn’t warn you!

When classes are full, you can sign-up to be on the wait list. Frequently, people will sign out early from classes, making room for those on the wait list. When a student signs-out with the 24-hour cancellation period, you will receive an automatic email, letting you know you have been bumped into class and are no longer on the wait list. If you are added into class, you will be held to the same cancellation policy as any other class you sign up for.

In case of a late cancellation, you will be notified via phone or text, to let you know you have been added to class from the wait list.

Please make sure you have a valid phone number and email so we can easily contact you.

When signing up for the wait list, please expect to come take the class and be ready to come to the studio. If you are not sure you will be able to make it with a short notice, please remove yourself from the wait list to avoid being charged for class in case you are added to class. If you are added into class, you will be held to the same cancellation policy as any other class you sign up for.

Class packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once you purchase your classes, make sure you know the expiration date and use all classes BEFORE that date. We will NOT extend the expiration date.

Expiration: 30 days for 1 Drop-In Class, 30 days for 5-Class Package, 60 days for 10-Class Package, 90 days for 15-Class Package.

Taking pictures and filming is not allowed in our classes. Please respect other students’ privacy. If you want to take pictures or film yourself, these images must be taken by the instructor to ensure no one else is visible in the images, or at the following times:

If you are under the age of 18, we require a parental consent. Your parent needs to come to the studio with you, so they can sign the release form. This is for insurance liability purposes. Feel free to sign up for class, but make sure you are accompanied by your parent when coming in for your first class.

ALL CLASSES ARE FEMALE ONLY, unless otherwise specified. Male-only classes are available upon request or private booking.

With the exception of bottled water, you are not allowed to consume food and beverages during class on the studio floor.

Gum-chewing is not allowed during any aerial (pole, silk, hammock/yoga) classes. This is a safety regulation as it is a choking hazard.

Please wear proper attire when visiting our studio. Proper attire is: Athletic wear such as opaque shorts, sports bra and/or tank tops, or opaque tights for aerial classes. Students should wear t-shirts or shirts that cover the underarms for aerial silk and aerial hammock classes.

No see-through material or nudity is allowed. No under garments allowed to be used as workout attire.

Please respect your instructor and fellow students and leave your phone conversations outside the studio while in class. If your phone rings in class you will be expected to bring deliciousness to your next class.

No street shoes in the studio. Please remove them on the tile.

We do not tolerate bullying or disrespecting of other students and their personal space. Such behavior will result in removal from the studio and you will be banned from taking classes at The Pole Room.

You must listen to all teacher instructions. Failure to do so may result in being asked to leave the studio. You will not be refunded. Instructors have the right to refuse service to anyone. This is a safety issue.

We insist on a mastery of basic skills before progressing to skills requiring more strength, endurance, stability, and understanding. Moves build upon each other, allowing each individual to build strength progressively, and therefore avoiding injury. Students must strictly adhere to the level progression and may not learn or practice skills above their level.

Students must be able to execute a pose or sequence with strength, control, and proper body positioning before progressing to a more difficult skill.

Students must strictly adhere to the working heights specified by the instructor. You will start low to the ground while your body and mind adapts to the new movements. Students will only be allowed to work at greater heights when they can safely execute the skill (with control) many times low to the ground first.

Students are not allowed under any circumstances to teach other students or anyone else, any movement, pose, sequence, or skill. This is a safety consideration and is strictly prohibited.

Students must get instructor approval before practicing skills that were not taught to them by The Pole Room.

Students are not allowed to practice anything that they learned off YouTube. If a student wants to learn a skill that they saw on YouTube, they can email the link to their instructor and ask their instructor to teach it during class. The instructor will evaluate whether the skill is appropriate for the student’s level, and will teach it accordingly.

Students must respect the teacher and other students at all times

Students may not be under the influence of alcohol, any illegal drugs, or any prescription or over-the-counter drugs that affect their focus and concentration.

Students must respect their bodies. They are responsible for listening to their bodies, and not pushing them past safe working limits. Late nights, drinking, illness, stress, or injury can all affect an dancer’s strength and stamina. Be aware that your ability to safely execute sequences may vary daily.

Warm-up properly to avoid pulling or straining muscles.

Please NO GUM chewing during class. I don’t want you to choke and die. Not on my watch!
